The ultimate goal of the Foundation is to improve patient care by improving
methods of diagnosis and treatment of affected patients.


Iris melanoma is a malignant intraocular tumor occuring in adults and early detection and treatment is important.

 

The research money has supported projects on:

conjunctival tumors such as nevus, primary acquired melanosis, melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and others

- Eyelid tumors such as basal cell carcinoma, sebaceous gland carcinoma, and others

- Orbital tumors such as capillary hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma, dermoid cyst, lymphoma, metastasis, pseudotumor, and others

- Intraocular tumors such as nevus, melanoma, retinoblastoma, hemangioma, metastasis, and others
